My kindergartner and I were reading through the December/January 2012 issue of Big Backyard magazine and came across an adorable craft called Snowy Owl Pals. He was so excited to make this, and it now graces the cocktail table in our family room. It turned out so cute ... truly a wonderful homeschool science/art project for younger children.

Ohhh, they ARE cute! Looks like a good project to do with some of my crew -- provided I can find some open pine cones laying in the backyard.
